Rudresh Upadhyaya(Left) & Raghav Katta(Right)TakeTwo, an AI-native film studio, has raised pre-seed funding at a valuation of ₹100 crore from US-based Afore Capital and Canada’s Inovia VC.
The total funds raised remain undisclosed.
The newly raised capital will be used to strengthen tech capabilities and expand its team of creative technologists.
“This valuation is a testament to the immediate value we are providing to filmmakers who need to scale their visual ambitions without the constraints of traditional VFX timelines and budgets. With the support of Afore Capital and Inovia VC, we are poised to expand our technical and creative footprint across India and global markets,” said Rudresh Upadhyaya, co-founder & CEO of TakeTwo.
Founded by Upadhyaya and Raghav Katta, the startup positions itself as a full-stack AI film studio that works directly with directors and production houses to create VFX-based sequences and visual environments.
The studio is currently working with multiple Indian filmmakers to integrate AI-assisted visuals into ongoing productions.
The founders recently graduated from Y Combinator’s AI Startup School, where TakeTwo was conceptualised. The company integrates AI-based workflows into traditional post-production pipelines to assist filmmakers.
The company follows both B2B and B2C models, serving large production houses as well as independent creators. While it currently relies on external AI model APIs, TakeTwo plans to develop proprietary AI agents trained on film-specific data.
