NEW DELHI: US Vice President JD Vance called up Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday as the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in trade, defence, critical and emerging technologies, energy security and critical minerals.PM Modi said, “Received a phone call from US Vice President JD Vance. We discussed ways to further deepen India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership across key areas.”They also exchanged views on global developments of mutual interest. The talks took place around the time the US Senate passed a bill that seeks to impose 100% tariffs on five countries, including India and China, for purchasing oil from Russia.
