Reporters followed Trisha from her Chennai residence to the Jawaharal Nehru Stadium, where she arrived in time for Vijay’s swearing-in-ceremony. “Looking forward, thank you very much,” she told reporters as she got into her car outside her residence.

Vijay and Trisha first shared screen space in the 2004 blockbuster Ghilli, directed by Dharani. The film went on to become a major commercial success. They went on to collaborate on several films including Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), Kuruvi (2008), and Leo (2023).

Over the years, Vijay and Trisha have praised each other as actors and individuals, even referring to one another as their “home” and “safe space.” The two have frequently been linked romantically, though both have consistently maintained that they are just friends.

Interest in their equation resurfaced again after Vijay attended a wedding reception in Chennai alongside Trisha. Their appearance at the event, which came shortly after Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, filed for divorce alleging that the Jana Nayagan actor was involved in an extramarital relationship with an actress, sparked fresh speculation among fans about a possible relationship between the two stars.
