HYDERABAD: POCSO accused found dead after killing spree that claimed teen complainant, her family, his own wife and 2 sonsHYDERABAD: After a 60-hour manhunt for POCSO case accused Raj Kumar, who was wanted for allegedly murdering six people, including three children, police found his body in Panjarla village under Kothur mandal in Ranga Reddy district on Monday afternoon.Confirming the development, Future City police commissioner Tarun Joshi said Raj Kumar’s body was found with a bottle of pesticide lying nearby, leading police to suspect that he died by suicide.At a time when Future City police were conducting an extensive search for Raj Kumar but had no credible leads, they reportedly received a Dial-100 call from a local villager informing them about the body of an unidentified man lying inside a real estate venture.When the local police reached the spot, they were shocked to discover that the deceased was Raj Kumar, the man they had been searching for over the past two-and-a-half days.After the information was conveyed to senior officers rushed to the spot and began an investigation.On Friday night, Raj Kumar allegedly went to the residence of a 16-year-old girl whose family had lodged a POCSO case against him in May. Police said he killed the girl’s mother and grandmother before forcibly taking the teenager away in his car.Investigators said he drove the girl to a nearby lake, where he allegedly stabbed her to death.His killing spree allegedly continued after he returned to his own house, where he is accused of murdering his wife and their two young sons.Police said Raj Kumar later called his father, informed him that he had killed six people and declared that he, too, intended to die by suicide. He then switched off his mobile phone, triggering a massive search operation.The manhunt ended on Monday at around 3 pm, when his body was found lying amid tall grass inside a real estate venture in Panjarla village.Police are awaiting the post-mortem examination report to ascertain the exact cause of death, while further investigation into the case is underway.
