The India-Africa Forum Summit scheduled to be held in New Delhi has been postponed due to growing concerns over the Ebola outbreak reported in parts of Africa. Officials said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of delegates, diplomats, and participants attending the international event.

The summit was expected to bring together leaders and representatives from several African nations to discuss trade, investment, healthcare, technology, energy, and strategic cooperation between India and African countries.

Government sources stated that both India and participating African nations agreed to delay the summit until the health situation improves. Health authorities are closely monitoring the Ebola outbreak, which has raised global concerns in recent weeks.

Despite the postponement, India has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties with African nations through continued diplomatic engagement and development partnerships. Officials said a new date for the summit will be announced after reviewing the public health situation.

The India-Africa Forum Summit is considered an important platform for boosting economic cooperation, political dialogue, and long-term partnerships between India and the African continent.
