PATNA: Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor on Tuesday challenged Bihar chief minister Samrat Choudhary and leader of the opposition Tejashwi Yadav to “sit for their matriculation exams together” and clear the test, news agency PTI reported.Kishor suggested that education minister Mithilesh Tiwari should propose such a move at the next cabinet meeting.As per the PTI report, the Bankipur MLA made the tongue-in-cheek remark while responding to questions from journalists about Tiwari advising Yadav “to clear his Class 10 exams before supporting protests by students”.The 49-year-old said, “Tiwari should give the same suggestion to Samrat Choudhary as well. Let him propose in the next cabinet meeting that both the CM and the LoP sit for their matriculation exams together”.Yadav is the RJD working president and a decade Kishor’s junior, while Choudhary is in his late 50s.The RJD leader had given up studies after flunking in Class 9.Kishor had earlier claimed that Choudhary, who now stated to possess a DLitt degree, had said in his affidavit for the 2010 election that he was Class 7 pass.The former poll strategist said, “I, too, appeal to the two leaders to take up the challenge, on behalf of the state’s youth”.People of Bihar should have the confidence that their leaders are capable of clearing their class 10 exams, Kishor said, adding: “Choudhary and Yadav must rise to the challenge.”(With agency inputs)
