The show, which kicked off on October 5, 2025, with 20 contestants — and four more being added as wildcard entrants later — now has only four remaining in the house. With host and Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi taking the floor for one last time this year, expectations are sky-high that this grand finale will surpass all the previous ones in terms of glitz and glam. The grand finale began at 6 pm, and fans can catch it on Vijay Television channel and JioHotstar.
A few hours before the grand finale of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9, SCREEN conducted a poll on X to gauge who viewers believed would win the show. The results revealed Divya as the clear frontrunner with 58 per cent of the votes, followed by Sabarinathan at 19 per cent, Aurora at 14 per cent, and Vikram at the bottom with 8 per cent. For the unversed, Divya was a wildcard contestant who entered the house only on day 28.
For the unversed, this is the second time that Vijay Sethupathi has taken on hosting duties of Bigg Boss Tamil. He served as the host of the reality show in the last season as well. Prior to him, Tamil actor and filmmaker Kamal Haasan headlined the show for seven seasons since its debut in 2017. Haasan announced his exit in 2024, citing scheduling clashes as the primary reason.
