The Sleep Company has appointed former Eternal executive Hemal Jain as chief financial officer (CFO), the D2C startup announced in a LinkedIn post.

Jain has previously served as the group head of finance at Eternal as well as the CFO of the company’s B2B grocery vertical, Hyperpure. She was part of the team that worked on the company’s initial public offering that happened in 2021.

“With 20+ years of experience across FMCG (HUL), food tech, quick commerce, B2B (Eternal), and startup consulting, Hemal has partnered closely with founders and CXOs, led large teams, and helped businesses move from high cash burn to sustainable profitability, including playing a key role in IPO and acquisition journeys at Eternal,” the Mumbai-based startup said.

After quitting Eternal in December, Jain briefly served as the CFO of the controversy-mired cab operator BluSmart, between February and April last year.

Founded in 2019, The Sleep Company sells products across several categories such as mattresses, sofas and desks.

The startup last raised ₹480 crore in a mix of primary and secondary funding from ChrysCapital and 360 One Asset in August 2025. According to data from Tracxn, the company has raised over $64 million across five funding rounds so far.

This development comes at a time when the D2C sleep-solutions market is heating up, fuelled by fresh venture capital and Wakefit’s recent IPO.
