The round also saw participation from angel and strategic investors including Kamal Puri of Skyline Group, Inflection Point Ventures, FAAD Network, LetsVenture, Pace Group’s Vrinda Goyal, Haresh Patel of Arthanomics, and Maneesh Shrivastav of Alpha Value.
The fresh capital will be used to scale manufacturing of chargers, expand software capabilities and accelerate deployment of charging stations, the company said.
RoadGrid operates across two segments: supplying chargers to original equipment manufacturers and running public and commercial charging stations. India is expected to require nearly 30 lakh charging stations by 2030, compared with about 8,000 installed currently.
The company has active deployments in Indore and Noida, and has worked with Indian Oil Corporation. It also counts utilities such as BSES, NPCL and Navi Mumbai Transport among its customers. RoadGrid said it has a confirmed pipeline of over 1,000 chargers.
