The move comes as the firm prepares to launch a ₹1,400 crore growth fund in 2026, which will focus on Series A and later-stage startups.
Vishnu has been part of Speciale’s investment team for several years, working across sourcing, diligence and portfolio support. His work spans advanced manufacturing, space technology, climate and energy, biosciences and AI-led platforms.
“Vishnu has been deeply involved in building Speciale’s investment engine over the years — from thesis development and underwriting complex science risk to working closely with founders through the early stages of company building,” said Vishesh Rajaram, founding partner at Speciale Invest.
Speciale recently appointed Vijay Jacob as general partner to lead the firm’s growth-stage strategy and Krishnaswamy Srinivasan as general partner and chief financial officer to oversee finance, governance and institutional scale-up.
Founded in 2017, Speciale Invest is a deep-tech focused VC firm that made early bets in companies such as AgniKul Cosmos and GalaxEye, which have become significant ecosystem flagbearers with their breakout successes.
