Bengaluru: The High Court of Karnataka on Monday ordered a notice to ED on a petition filed by real money gaming company WinZo Games praying that the search and seizure conducted by the agency at its offices in connection with a money laundering case be declared illegal and void.
Justice Suraj Govindraj also directed ED to file its response to the petition and posted the case for December 15. The petitioner said there was no recording of the search and seizure as mandated under BNSS, 2023. The petitioners told the court they feared ED might use certain statements recorded at their office and not captured on CCTV against them. The plea followed the arrest of WinZo directors Paavan Nanda and Saumya Singh Rathore last month.-Our Bureau
