IOTA Diagnostic has raised funding from BizDateUp to expand manufacturing, strengthen clinical adoption and scale its at-home diagnostic platform.

The funding amount remains undisclosed but BizDateUp now owns a 5.88 per cent stake in the company.

Founded in 2022, the Pune-based medical tech startup has developed M-Strip, a non-invasive cervical cancer screening test that uses menstrual blood for self-sample collection. The device aims to improve screening participation in settings where access to Pap smears and HPV testing is limited.

The product holds an Indian utility patent protection.

The company is also building BioSampler, a system that allows cold-chain-free collection and transport of blood and other biofluids, enabling remote diagnostics without phlebotomy support.

“By reimagining the most difficult part of testing, sample collection, they are making screening more accessible, more comfortable, and far more inclusive, especially for women,” said Jeet Chandan, managing director, BizDateUp.

IOTA has already onboarded its products on Tata 1mg and said it has sold around 2,500 units in its pilot phase.

“Our mission has always been to make diagnostics more humane, dignified, and accessible. This partnership will help us scale faster in India while preparing to enter regulated international markets,” said Vaibhav Shitole, founder and managing director, IOTA Diagnostic.
