NEW DELHI: A 27-year-old man was shot dead in Shahdara on Friday night, moments after he went to meet two men he had recently quarrelled with for a “reconciliation”, police said.Police received information about the shooting at 11.09pm on Friday. A team from the local police station rushed to the spot, a sweet shop in V-Block, Shahdara.“When the police team reached the spot, it was found that a firing incident had taken place and the injured, Gagan Aahi—who is listed as a Bad Character (BC) in the area—sustained a bullet injury,” DCP Shahdara Prashant Gautam said.Aahi was taken to GTB Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. He suffered a gunshot wound to his right temple.According to police, two accused arrived on a motorcycle and carried out the shooting. One of them has been detained along with the motorcycle, while a search is on for the other.Gagan recently had an altercation with the two accused, and they were reportedly meeting to reconcile when the shooting happened.A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act.
