GURGAON: A group of men were seen rallying in cars in support of Gurgaon hit-and-run accused Kalyan Singh Bainsla on Friday, days after a video of the incident went viral.A video showed several cars driving together on a flyover in Haryana.“Full support to Gurjar Kalyan Bainsla. Come face-to-face once and call him a thug, bro,” a post said on X.Bainsla is accused of chasing and ramming a biker, Shivani Chauhan, on Golf Course Road on Sunday. Police said he was allegedly returning from a club with his friends when the incident took place.Bainsla, his cousin and other friends had gone to The Empire club at MGF Metropolitan Mall on MG Road on Saturday. He had borrowed a Maruti Ciaz from a friend for the outing. Police are yet to ascertain whether the accused were drunk.Police said Shrikant, an associate of Bainsla, was also in the car at the time of the incident. According to sources, co-accused Lavnish allegedly instigated Bainsla to chase Chauhan and also allegedly abused her during the incident.Investigators said the accused followed Chauhan for around 2km. They said Bainsla had asked her to stop. When she did not and instead signalled the car driver to move away, the accused allegedly rammed her motorcycle.Police took the two accused to the spot on Thursday to reconstruct the sequence of events. They had sought two days’ custody for the exercise. A local court on Wednesday sent Bainsla and Lavnish to police custody till Friday.
