Vijay’s Jana Nayagan is out now after months of delays.
Vijay’s last film, Jana Nayagan, is releasing in theatres on Thursday, July 23. This is the last film of Vijay and was scheduled to release in January, ahead of Tamil Nadu elections. However, the film got delayed, and now, it is releasing when Vijay has already become the CM of the state. The film was supposed to be his last cinematic ride before his political career began.
Directed by H Vinoth, the action thriller arrives after a prolonged battle with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), making its release one of the most anticipated cinematic events of the year. After much back and forth, the film finally received an A certificate but that has not deterred the fans from watching the film. Jana Nayagan, as per estimates, is expected to earn Rs 100 crore on its first day.

Despite facing multiple delays and even being leaked online earlier this year, the excitement surrounding Jana Nayagan remains just as high. The Vijay-starrer is set for a massive release across 2,500 screens in India, with early morning shows beginning at 6 am in several regions, while Tamil Nadu will follow its standard practice of commencing screenings at 9 am.
The action-packed entertainer stars Vijay alongside Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Narain.
