Soldier ends life at Nagrota Army camp

JAMMU: A 29-year-old soldier died allegedly by suicide at an Army camp in Nagrota, on the outskirts of Jammu, early Monday, officials said.Police said Abhijit Nandan was found hanging at his place of posting. Authorities took him to the military hospital in Satwari, where doctors declared him dead. The body was later shifted to Jammu GMCH for medico-legal formalities.A team of cops visited the scene and collected evidence. Further investigation was underway to establish the reason behind the deceased’s drastic step, officials said.
