India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval held a series of important bilateral meetings in Moscow during a major international security forum, reinforcing India’s commitment to regional stability, counterterrorism cooperation, and strategic partnerships.

During the visit, Doval met senior Russian officials to discuss a wide range of security issues, including regional geopolitical developments, defense cooperation, counterterrorism efforts, cyber security, and emerging global challenges. The discussions reflected the long-standing strategic partnership between India and Russia, which continues to play a significant role in regional and international security matters.

A key highlight of the visit was Doval’s meeting with Myanmar’s military leadership and senior representatives. Both sides exchanged views on border security, transnational crime, insurgency-related concerns, and efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region. The talks also focused on enhancing cooperation in tackling illegal trafficking networks and strengthening coordination along shared security interests.

The meetings took place on the sidelines of a major international security forum attended by top security officials, intelligence chiefs, and policymakers from several countries. The forum served as a platform for discussing global security threats, geopolitical tensions, terrorism, cyber warfare, and the changing international security landscape.

Officials familiar with the discussions said India emphasized the importance of dialogue, peaceful conflict resolution, and greater international cooperation in addressing security challenges. New Delhi also reiterated its commitment to maintaining stability in the Indo-Pacific region and supporting efforts aimed at combating terrorism in all its forms.

The Moscow meetings come at a time when geopolitical tensions remain high across several regions, including Eastern Europe, West Asia, and parts of Asia-Pacific. Against this backdrop, India’s engagement with key partners is being viewed as part of its broader strategy to strengthen diplomatic and security cooperation while safeguarding national interests.

Experts believe the discussions could further deepen India’s strategic partnerships and contribute to greater coordination on regional security issues. The meetings also underline India’s growing role in international security dialogues and its efforts to maintain balanced relations with major global powers.

As global security challenges continue to evolve, the outcomes of these high-level talks are expected to support closer cooperation between participating nations on issues ranging from counterterrorism and intelligence sharing to economic and strategic stability.
