The political tension within the Karnataka Congress has intensified as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar separately met the Congress high command in New Delhi amid growing speculation over a possible leadership change.
The meetings come at a crucial time, with internal discussions reportedly focusing on the power-sharing arrangement within the state government. Sources suggest that party leaders are trying to resolve differences and maintain unity ahead of upcoming political challenges.
DK Shivakumar’s supporters continue to demand clarity on leadership rotation, while Siddaramaiah’s camp insists on stability in governance. Senior Congress leaders, including members of the central leadership, are closely monitoring the situation to avoid any internal division in Karnataka.
Despite the ongoing discussions, both Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar publicly stated that the Congress government in Karnataka remains stable and united. However, political observers believe the high-level meetings in Delhi indicate that negotiations within the party are still active.
The leadership issue has now become one of the biggest political developments in Karnataka, attracting nationwide attention as Congress attempts to balance internal ambitions with government stability.
