PUNE: A bomb-like object having a timer and a circuit was found on Wednesday night outside the entrance of a reputable hospital on the first floor of Kamdhenu Estate in Hadapsar, causing panic among people.The white object kept in a cardboard box was spotted around 8.15pm and a person called the police control room. Police deployed several personnel at the spot, cordoned off the area and summoned Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS).A team of the BDDS first secured the object at the spot and then safely moved it to the open ground of Hadapsar Gliding Center to defuse it. Till going to press, the BDDS team was trying to defuse the object.Additional commissioner of police Manoj Patil and deputy commissioner of police (crime) Vivek Masal went to the spot to monitor the situation. “The BDDS team will study the object and its contents,”” said Masal.
