Jana Nayagan Movie Release Date update: When approaching the court against the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), lamenting the inordinate delay in certification, the makers of director H Vinoth’s Jana Nayagan may not have expected that the legal battle would last this long and that they would face setbacks one after the other. However, it’s been almost a fortnight since the release of the ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay-starrer has been hanging in the balance, with no clarity yet on when the decks will be cleared for its premiere.
Although the makers moved the Supreme Court on Thursday, January 15, it refused to intervene in the case wherein the production house challenged an order of stay passed by a division bench of the Madras High Court. Now, as the matter is set to come up for further hearing in the Madras HC on Tuesday, January 20, the movie’s team is hopeful that the issues will be resolved, paving the way for the release of Jana Nayagan, which marks Vijay’s final film before his full-fledged political entry.
