Culture, a social networking platform, has raised ₹2 crore in seed funding from Acuvest Infra.

The newly raised capital will be used to boost product development, community building and improving platform infrastructure.

“The future of social networking lies in meaningful conversations built around shared interests, not follower counts or endless scrolling. Culture is designed to help people feel heard, not performed,” said Anurag Rangineni, founder and CEO of Culture.

The funds will also support what the company calls creator-led Spaces, a feature to help creators and community leaders host live events and hybrid online-offline experiences.

This feature holds importance as part of the company’s monetisation strategy as it enables ticketed events, event promotions and partnerships with offline spaces, Culture said in a statement.

“Culture’s focus on explicit interests, verified users, and community-driven engagement positions it well for the next phase of social networking,” said a spokesperson from Acuvest Infra.

The company plans to scale across major Indian cities before expanding to global markets.
