Atomgrid, a speciality chemicals company, has raised $7 million in a pre-series A funding round in a mix of equity and debt led by manufacturing-focused venture capital firm A99.

The round also saw participation from SadevVentures, CDM Capital and Merak Ventures. The debt was raised from Trifecta, SIDBI and RevX.

Founded by Siddharth Gupta and Lakshit Bansal, Atomgrid aims to integrate the entire value chain by establishing its own distribution network, developing proprietary intellectual property through R&D investments and leveraging the existing ecosystem.

This approach, the company said, helps it capture higher margins and build defensibility.

The company plans to use the funds to boost exports, build onground teams and offices in key international markets and aid the development and launch of new products.

“Over 50 per cent of Atomgrid’s revenue comes from exports with over 150 active customers in more than 15 countries. In the past 18 months, Atomgrid has completed two funding rounds and is on a path to deliver 3x revenue growth in FY26 over FY25,” said Gupta.

Atomgrid had previously raised $1.25 million in May last year.

“Atomgrid’s R&D-first asset light approach…directly addresses what global buyers increasingly seek from India: reliable innovation, scalable supply and value beyond cost arbitrage. This approach is aligned with India’s ambition to shift from being a volume supplier to a value-driven partner in specialty chemicals,” said Vignesh Shankar, managing partner at A99.
