Parasakthi Movie Review, Rating and Release Live Updates: Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi is all set to hit screens on January 10, after facing multiple hurdles, including delays in certification. The period political drama, also starring Ravi Mohan, Sreeleela and Atharvaa, received its censor clearance just a day prior, with the CBFC granting it a U/A certificate.

Directed by Sudha Kongara, Parasakthi is set in the 1960s. The project was initially conceived with Suriya in the lead role but was shelved for undisclosed reasons. In 2024, Sudha revived the script, this time casting Sivakarthikeyan, with the film officially announced in December that year.

With Jana Nayagan now postponed, Parasakthi has emerged as the biggest Pongal release, carrying a substantial budget of approximately Rs 142 crore. The uncertainty surrounding its release date had also stalled advance bookings. However, following the censor clearance, BookMyShow opened advance ticket sales post 3 pm on Friday.

Ticket prices in Chennai range from Rs 150 to Rs 300, while in other cities they go up to Rs 500.

In terms of box office milestones, Amaran remains the biggest opener of Sivakarthikeyan’s career with an opening-day collection of Rs 21.4 crore, followed by Madharaasi at Rs 13.2 crore and Seemaraja at Rs 11.44 crore.
