India’s aerospace and defence sector has been seeing rising domestic demand and export activity, supported by policy measures and increased focus on local manufacturing.Lohia Aerospace Systems has raised an undisclosed amount from growth-equity platform Singularity AMC to support expansion plans.
The investment will help Lohia Aerospace scale its composites and advanced materials manufacturing capabilities and expand its engagement with global aerospace and defence original equipment manufacturers.
Founded in 2021 by The Lohia Group, the Kanpur-based company designs and manufactures advanced composite structures and systems used in aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles and next-generation aerospace and defence platforms.
“We are delighted to partner with Singularity AMC as we strengthen our position in the global aerospace and defence manufacturing landscape,” said Anurag Lohia, managing director of Lohia Aerospace.
The Lohia Group has businesses across manufacturing, real estate, education, among others.

“Lohia Aerospace has built strong capabilities in the design and manufacturing of advanced composite structures and systems,” said Sandeep Bapat, co-chief investment officer at Singularity AMC, adding that the firm would work with the company as it scales operations and addresses global demand.
Singularity AMC is backed by investor Madhusudan Kela and focuses on growth-stage investments across private and public markets, with an emphasis on manufacturing, industrials and technology-led businesses.
