
India’s growing influence on the global stage was strongly highlighted during the India-Nordic Summit, where Denmark’s Prime Minister described India as “one of the biggest powers in the world” during discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The summit brought together leaders from Nordic countries including Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland to strengthen cooperation with India in areas such as trade, clean energy, technology, climate action, innovation, and security.
During the high-level meetings, PM Modi emphasized India’s expanding economic strength, digital transformation, and leadership in global issues. Nordic leaders praised India’s rapid development and its increasing role in shaping international economic and geopolitical policies.
Denmark’s Prime Minister stated that the global balance of power is changing and acknowledged India as a major force in the emerging world order. The remarks are being seen as a significant diplomatic recognition of India’s rising importance in global politics and business.
Key discussions at the summit also focused on green energy partnerships, sustainable infrastructure, Arctic cooperation, renewable technology, and boosting investments between India and Nordic nations. Both sides expressed interest in expanding long-term strategic partnerships.
